What dream are you currently turning into reality?

This year, I left a career in design behind to officially become a full time visual artist and painter. One day, I dream of owning a space where I can display my art and other curated pieces.

When did you first realize you discovered your dream?

Visual arts have always been a major part of my life. The introduction of complex art, film, and photography at a young age ingrained my DNA with inspiration. I pursued a career in Interior Design and Architecture after college while simultaneously growing as an artist and painter.

After completely selling out my first public art collection in only a few days time, it was evident that this pursuit was more than a dream, and more promisingly, a calling. Not purely from the immediate financial blessing, but because of the connection made with people through the impact of my artwork.

How does your faith go hand in hand with pursuing your dream?

This year more than most, God’s faithfulness is evident. I give all glory to Him for paving a clear path to utilize the passions He planted within me. Even in seasons where it may be unclear, God’s timing and plan is always superior than ours. God’s mercy and intervention is the cornerstone of my story as an artist.

What’s one or two practical steps you take to keep moving forward?

I love making to-do lists for each day and/or week to promote accountability. Nothing beats the satisfaction of checking everything off a list. On a long term scale, I create a list of goals for the year and pray over them.

What encouragement would you share with someone who’s going after their dream?

If it’s God’s will, it will certainly happen, and in the right timing. Taking small daily steps is better than waiting for something to happen.
