What dream are you currently turning into reality?

I feel so blessed to be able to help others through my writing work, while also launching my dream business as a virtual assistant last year.

When did you first realize you discovered your dream?

I remember sitting at my desk job about three years ago and felt the prompting of the Holy Spirit to write for others. Since then, I’ve used my Instagram platform to write for others and for God, and it led me to pursuing a career in virtual assistance. That realization led me to where I am today, and listening to what God was calling me to do was life changing for sure.

How does your faith go hand in hand with pursuing your dream?

I love that I’m able to grow as a result of writing for others as I lead them more towards God. With time, my dream has evolved into a hobby, job, and ministry – blended together to make a difference in peoples’ lives, but ultimately, my own.

What’s one or two practical steps you take to keep moving forward?

Firstly – I write! I write a simple list, or I’ll take the time to ‘brain-dump’ and write out my feelings and wishes in depth. This has helped me to stay focused and release any tension that has built up. One other practical step that has kept me moving forward is talking with a close friend or my husband daily about my goals. People help to keep you accountable, and talking out your goals and desires allows them to solidify.

What encouragement would you give someone who’s going after their dream?

Take that leap of faith and trust that God will form your path as you go. Oftentimes we wait to hear something crystal clear from Him, but most times, we need to take action and make something happen - Even if it’s only a step. Write out your prayers and pray every day for direction as you take those steps. God is right there with you in those decisions, and as long as you are His, He will guide you through.
