What dream are you currently turning into reality?

I’ve been a model for over 10 years, and I’m currently trying to turn my blogging into more of a reality. I’m from LA and Orange County, but happily reside in Nashville! I know the market is saturated with bloggers/influencers, but I feel like my experience in the fashion industry can lend some unique edges to the scene.

When did you first realize you discovered your dream?

My interest in modeling started at 5 when I was in my first runway show with my Aunt. My Aunt had been a model in the 80s and 90s, and I loved to sit and stare at her portfolio. I had been scouted several times, and one summer, I signed with my first agency.

Since that summer, I’ve been signed with the top modeling agencies - Allowing me the chance to travel the world, experience faith in all cultures, and work with some of the best brands. Some clients I’ve worked with are Vogue, Vanity Fair, Old Navy, Nordstrom, Saks off Fifth, Tjmaxx, Alexander McQueen, Cosmogirl, Seventeen and many more.

How does your faith go hand in hand with pursuing your dream?

I’ve always held a high standard in saying “yes” to a job, and my faith plays a major part on that journey throughout my career

I left NYC, because at that time, I didn’t see a clear path to God and family. I saw a path to success and a sort of loneliness. I had to make a major career decision. I was at a crossroads, being pressured to stay in New York and say “yes” to a lot of things by my agents. Their pressure ultimately went against my moral compass, so I packed my 400sqft room up in one weekend, and flew to my new home in Nashville, TN.

That move led me to signing with my amazing agents at AMAX so many years ago now. It also led me to blogging - Where with both, I can say “yes” or “no” to a job/client on my own terms.

What’s one or two practical steps you take to keep moving forward?

Every morning, I spend at least 10 minutes with coffee, reflecting on where I am presently, where I was, and what I want in the future. I reflect on those things, and connect them with what got me through each stage, and how I won’t let go of the faith that keeps me going.

What encouragement would you share with someone who’s going after their dream?

Even if you get lost along the way, you’re never too lost for God. Connect back with Him, and you’ll find yourself again.

If your dream is no longer aligning with you, leave it, and make a new path you can truly be satisfied with. It might be a huge detour in your life to start anew, but be patient and true - You’ll be blessed in other ways.
