Zandy Fitzgerald
Completely stoked to welcome our friend Zandy Fitzgerald to this week’s Dreamos Round Table! Zandy’s a killer songwriter and guitarist building her dreams in Nashville, TN. With a passion to connect with people through music, Zandy, her siblings and cousin, formed the band, The New Respects. Through the creative process with her band, Zandy’s had the opportunity to write and release songs that have reached millions of fans.
With the growing success of The New Respects, Zandy has also been sought after to write for other artists, helping them reach their audience in a way she does so brilliantly. No matter what she’s working on, or who’s she’s in the studio with, she lives her life to help others connect with God. We know you’ll be encouraged and inspired as you hear more from her heart, story, and pursuit.
What dream are you currently turning into reality?
Being a full time musician and inspiring people to do good things! As of 2 years ago, I was able to make enough money doing music to leave all of my other part time jobs..but then came Covid lol. The good thing is, the inspiration part doesn't have to shut down just because shows have.
When did you first realize you discovered your dream?
When I was 16, I played guitar for Jasmine at a coffee house she was doing at her school. After that, I was hooked. There’s nothing like fulfilling your calling.
How does your faith go hand in hand with pursuing your dream?
I believe a dream is a God-given calling, passion or desire, and I wouldn’t have one outside of my relationship with Him. Everything I do is filtered through my allegiance to Christ.
What encouragement would you give someone who’s going after their dream?
Know your “why” and filter everything through that. Also, remember - On the good days and the bad days, purpose doesn’t change..even if everything else around you does.
