What dream are you currently turning into reality?

I’ve been modeling full time for 5 years all over the globe - Signed with agencies in Australia, London, Paris, Milan, New York, Los Angeles, and Dallas.

Being able to pursue a career in modeling has been a huge blessing that God placed in my lap, and it has also opened so many doors both professionally and personally!

When did you first realize you discovered your dream?

God put this career opportunity in my path, and it truly was by divine appointment. He puts on our hearts the callings and dreams He has for us, and that’s what I felt. It's an amazing feeling that puts a huge smile on your face. It's also a feeling that makes you think, “Wow, I was born to do this.''

Five years later, I still have so much passion and drive for this industry and the things that are to come! There is still so much more to be done, and I can't wait to see what God does next.

How does your faith go hand in hand with pursuing your dream?

My faith in God is truly the only reason I am where I am today in my career! 1000%. The modeling industry is very cut throat, and is solely based around your looks, your genetic makeup, etc. It’s so easy to get caught up in others opinions of yourself or try to conform to who others say you should be. Having faith, the foundation of Christ, and knowing WHOSE I am, has helped me pursue my dream!

What’s one or two practical steps you take to keep moving forward?

I’m a creature of habit, and I love structure in my day to day life when I’m not on set working or on a plane flying to a shoot.

Every Sunday, I love creating weekly goals and a schedule for the week ahead. When you’re prepared and ready to take on the week, you’ll be more prepared and ready to tackle what that week holds!

I have also become a big fan of daily affirmations. Speaking words of life over yourself & your circumstances is so important. It lifts your mindset & helps you think positively. I'm definitely an optimist, and I love reminding myself and others that our cups are always half full...not half empty! I also love to meditate and listen to praise and worship music.

What encouragement would you share with someone who’s going after their dream?

I would tell them two things: Bloom where you’re planted and comparison is the thief of joy! Those two statements are such important reminders to remember.

Every season of life is different, and every season will teach you something new. You have to stay focused on what really matters, and keep your eyes fixed on the plans God has for you! I always think of race horses and the blockers they wear during a competition. It helps them stay focused on what's ahead and not look around at other things.
