Sarah Snow
Sarah’s a fashion stylist, worship leader, and artist coordinator pursuing her dreams from Charlotte, North Carolina.
No matter what Sarah’s working on, she’s always building something that lasts. Whether it’s bringing a shoot to life through wardrobe styling, creating an experience for artists, or leading others in worship, Sarah’s faith in God and love for people drives her every pursuit.
Sarah’s also no stranger to change or course corrections. Through each transition, Sarah keeps her trust in who God is and all He’s called her to be. Rather than letting twists and turns distract her from moving forward, she redirects her focus on what God’s up to, and follows His lead every step of the way.
What dream are you currently turning into reality?
I style shoots and music videos - It’s something so fun and so new. I'm super into fashion, so it's been right up my alley.
I’m also the Guest Service Coordinator for Elevation Worship and Elevation Church. It’s there I get to host and work alongside all our musical guests. As a lover of music, with even a degree in music, I love getting to partner and make each of their experiences a cool and memorable time.
I’m also a part of Elevation Rhythm, our youth ministry's expression of worship. It’s something so new, and it’s allowed me to be musically creative. It's been a privilege to help build something from the ground up!
When did you first realize you discovered your dream?
Music and creativity have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up in a family where we were always blasting a cool song and taking photos.
I went to college for music and thought I'd chase after that career path. Along the way, I fell in love with fashion, photos, Instagram and so much more.
Stepping into a full time career, I knew I wanted to work in music, but I didn't know where I'd necessarily fit without making the music myself. Working with artists and teams has been the coolest experience, and it makes so much sense for the talents and giftings I have.
How does your faith go hand in hand with pursuing your dream?
My faith is the grounds for which I build my life. I’ve always wanted to create and work alongside a ministry or a movement. Working for a worship team and a church has allowed me to fully be who I am and pursue my God-given dreams.
Working with artists and teams, I get the opportunity to connect and cultivate an experience and environment that allows them to be fully creative.
What’s one or two practical steps you take to keep moving forward?
For me, maintaining a schedule is huge. If something isn't on my calendar, it won't get done. Google Calendar is my bestie!
Setting quarterly goals is encouraged in my workplace. This has allowed me to be proactive with my growth. Coming up with a few things, practically and personally, has been a game changer.
What encouragement would you share with someone who’s going after their dream?
Be yourself! There's this pressure to be and to become. But, I believe God is pleased with those who are authentically themselves & aren’t striving to be anything other than who He created them to be.
I've felt the pressure to be something different, but I've seen the reward of staying true to my dreams and my beliefs.
