What dream are you currently turning into reality?

I have been working as the Art & Photography Director at a creative agency for the past 5 years. I’ve been so fortunate to work with people who inspire and push me daily and to be a part of so many fun projects along the way.

Long term, I’d love to be my own boss and travel around working on a bunch of different types of projects, almost like a bucket list if you will!

When did you first realize you discovered your dream?

In high school, I never felt like I truly clicked with any of the subjects we studied. Once I got into my college design classes, it came so easily and I couldn't believe I had found a subject I loved learning about. I knew I was in the right place!

How does your faith go hand in hand with pursuing your dream?

I truly believe that the Lord has a path for me, and it’s all going to be in his timing. I have so many interests and plans that I have gotten overwhelmed at the thought of tackling them all. That’s where I hand it over to God. I just try to focus on learning as much as I can about myself, improving my abilities, and getting the most experience wherever I’m at.

What’s one or two practical steps you take to keep moving forward?

The past few months have been particularly difficult for me. I get excited but also anxious about any future plans, whether they are good or bad. The best thing I found is focusing on the day ahead and taking care of those tasks.

What encouragement would you share with someone who’s going after their dream?

You are so valuable - How you see the world is different from everyone else! Don’t forget that.

Learn as much about yourself as you can so that when you’re in tough situations you know how you’ll react.

Work hard and be intentional, but don’t forget to rest - The Lord’s timing cannot be messed with.

If you feel a door closing, accept it! Know that this means things are changing.
