Joshua Micah
We’re stoked to have an amazing friend of ours, Joshua Micah, with us for this week’s Dreamos Round Table. Joshua’s a singer, songwriter, and producer living out in Nashville, TN.
His songs, “Who Says?” and “Parachute” became Billboard #1’s on the Christian Hot CHR chart, and his latest single, “Moving Through Me” is out now. He’s got even more music coming throughout the year, and we’re one hundred percent here for it. We're so glad you're joining the conversation, and we hope you’re encouraged and inspired by hearing a little more of his heart, pursuit, and story.
What dream are you currently turning into reality?
I’ve always wanted to live in a music city, and make music for a living as an artist and songwriter.
When did you first realize you discovered your dream?
I had a band in high school, and I would write the music and record all of the instruments for our recordings. I fell in love with arrangement and also performing live.
How does your faith go hand in hand with pursuing your dream?
Without God, my music wouldn’t have a purpose. I spent years making music without even thinking about how He wants to use me in the process. It was very unfulfilling. I have to check myself, and make sure my actions and decisions in music are bringing Him glory.
What encouragement would you give someone who’s going after their dream?
Surround yourself with people who are pursuing their dreams as well. Even if it’s one person, it makes it harder to give up.
