What dream are you currently turning into reality?

Ever since moving to Nashville at eighteen, I knew I wanted to work in the film industry - Specifically within the music world. I never would’ve guessed I’d start up a production company only a few short years later.

I launched GLITCH in early 2019, and it’s been a slow but rewarding climb onward. There’s no better feeling than building a dream from an idea planted in your heart.

When did you first realize you discovered your dream?

I’ve been lucky enough to have this dream in my heart from a super early age! As a kid, I always had a camera in my hand. It wasn’t until I was sixteen that I realized this job existed.

I grew up in a small town and thought journalism was the only option for me. Wow, was I wrong. There’s nothing more empowering than waking up everyday knowing you have purpose and a path to get there.

How does your faith go hand in hand with pursuing your dream?

I’m certain the dream I’ve been given isn’t mine or from me - It’s from God. I feel like my role in the film industry is my calling. To be inclusive - To make others feel loved and valued in an industry that doesn’t always see them. Trusting that God would always provide a path and jobs to get to my dream has really grown my faith over the years. He always shows up and pushes me toward what He’s called me to do.

What’s one or two practical steps you take to keep moving forward?

I wake up every morning and write out an analog todo list of what’s important to accomplish. There’s something about crossing off accomplishments on paper that just hits different. I found a routine that works for me with years of trial and error. Find what works for you and get into the rhythm.

What encouragement would you share with someone who’s going after their dream?

Work hard and be nice to people. As cheesy as it sounds, it will set you apart. On hard days when I’m feeling discouraged, I always remind myself - I don’t have to wake up and chase this, I get to wake up and chase this. The more light you spread to the world the brighter your circle becomes!
