What dream are you currently turning into reality?
I’m currently pursuing a career in modeling. I’m signed to an agency here in Nashville called “Tribe”.
When did you first realize you discovered your dream?
I first discovered modeling when I was young but always assumed that a career like that was unattainable for me. I realized I had a passion for modeling years later as an adult and finally embraced it after going to college. Instead of following what others had for me, I gained the courage to pursue my own dream.
How does your faith go hand in hand with pursuing your dream?
Keeping faith that I’m on God’s timing and that every opportunity I receive is for me. I always remind myself that His plans for me are greater than anything I could ever dream of, and I am worthy of the opportunities that I receive.
What’s one or two practical steps you to keep moving forward?
Remind yourself that you will never get the moments back after you’ve lived them, so go for it. Go after every dream because you only get one life.
You can start over as many times as you want because you don’t have to be perfect, you just have to be you. It’s okay to fail - It just means you’re trying, learning and making progress.
What encouragement would you share with someone who’s going after their dream?
If I could give a dream chaser advice, I would encourage them to embrace their individuality as much as possible. It is so easy to compare yourself to your peers or others who may be reaching heights that you haven’t met yet. Being confident in your individual path keeps you focused on what God has for you specifically.
